Throw-Back

A short post today.  This is a poem I wrote way back in 5th grade after being inspired by a thunderstorm.  I still return to it, when I need a pick-me-up.

"Thunderstorm"

God is screaming, yelling, booming, "Look what you have done!
Trying to be happy, trying to have fun!"
Is my Earth not good enough?
What do you think I made Earth for?
I'd give you what you want,
But all you want is more, more, more."

With each flash of lightning, His glory reappears,
And each little raindrop is one of His tears.
But just as fast as it came, it begins to disappear,
For God does forgive, each prayer He will hear.
